Offered for sale is a carefully serviced and technically checked QUAD 33 preamplifier, one of the most iconic designs from the golden age of British hi-fi.
Designed by Peter Walker, the QUAD 33 is renowned for its natural, musical and fatigue-free sound character, combined with a clever modular architecture using plug-in circuit boards. Paired with a QUAD 303 power amplifier, it forms one of the classic British hi-fi combinations that remains highly regarded by enthusiasts today.
This particular unit has been carefully inspected, serviced and cleaned. Several age-related components have been replaced preventively to improve long-term reliability, while preserving the original character of the preamplifier.
The unit is in pretty good cosmetic condition for its age (see pictures), and has been thoroughly cleaned internally and externally (see pictures). All functions operate correctly.
